Born in Namur, Belgium in 1974, Xavier Thoma is a real estate advisor and investor. He is pursuing opportunities for acquiring properties and developing them. He has been working a fund management capacity with a private investment management group for the last 7-8 years, investing in a wide range of alternative investment strategies and vehicles, including hedge funds. He founded Globefin European Advisors Ltd. in 2003/2004 and assumed the role of the Chief Executive Officer and Director of the firm. Prior to his work in asset management, Xavier Thoma was a successful professional at leading organizations in the financial services industry, including Morgan Stanley & Co. Ltd and JP Morgan & Co. Ltd from 1992 to 2003. |
Xavier Thoma is a highly-qualified professional and received his Masters of Engineering (M.Eng) degree in Engineering, Economics and Management in 1996, from the Oxford University (UK). Prior to this, he obtained International Baccalaureate from the American School of Paris, in 1992. He is fond of travelling and loves to discover new cultures, smells and sceneries. He has travelled to places like Cuba, Namibia, Brazil, Latvia, China, Zambia, Mozambique, Northern California and South Africa. Apart from travelling, Xavier Thoma also enjoys skiing and water sports (sailing / kite skiing), during his free time. He is an amateur cook and has attended Ritz-Escoffier, Raymond Blanc and Cordon Bleu cooking schools. |
